In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." I use this shoe for ZUMBA. It's a little sticky at first but after a couple of classes the sole breaks in and the shoe works fine. I have tried several different shoes over the last few months for Zumba and this one is the best so far. The shoe dosen't break down as fast as other brands and the sole is not so aggressive so it works ok on the hardwood floor.

I always purchase ASICS because they have the best soles. I never feel back pain when running or walking. I value the health of my back, knees, and feet, and ASICS has come through time and time again.
These "Flash" ASICS are just as comfortable as other ASICS I have worn. It does not look like the rubber is as thick, but there is a black line of rubber above the red.
In short, these shoes are comfortable, provide great support, and look quite stunning. The red and black design is fabulous and the outlines ASICS lines stand out.
